  60. (Version 2.2), by Practical Systems.  This document contains
  61. only a brief description of the package and its features, along
  62. with instructions for its installation.  Quite detailed documentation
  63. is included in the package, but it is in archived form, and is more
  64. easily read after installation.

  66. Handy Stuff is a shareware program.  This evaluation version includes
  67. all features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may
  68. use it for up to 30 days, without charge. If you like the
  69.  program, and wish to continue its use after
  70. this evaluation period, you are required to pay for the program (look
  71. in the HELP file for more details).  Any fee you may have
  72.  paid to others  (disk vendors, dealers, etc.) to obtain this evaluation

  130. ===== Installation =====================================
  131.  
  132. The installation procedure for Handy Stuff is quite simple.  The
  133. package includes a program, "SETUP.EXE", which automates the
  134. entire process.  You will need about 5mb of available disk space
  135. on the hard drive on which you plan to install Handy Stuff.
  136.  
  137. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  138. Handy Stuff.
  139.  
  140. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  141.  
  142. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  143.  
  144.    o  Place Handy Stuff distribution diskette "Disk 1" in the
  145.       appropriate diskette drive.
  146.  
  147.    o  In Windows 3.1 program manager, select "File" and then "Run".
  148.       In Win 95, select "Start" then "Run".
  149.       Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program on the distribution diskette.
  150.       For example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:, type
  151.        "a:setup".
  152.  
  153.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  154.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  155.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  156.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  157.       the Handy Stuff files to that directory.  If you received <product>
  158.       on two diskettes, you will need to insert Disk 2 in the diskette
  159.       drive when asked to do so.  If you so direct it, the installation
  160.       program will install executable programs and documentation in
  161.       other directories of your choice.  It will make no other changes;
  162.       specifically, it will not modify your autoexec.bat or config.sys
  163.       files.

  166. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  167.  
  168. If you downloaded Handy Stuff from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  169. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  170. following steps.
  171.  
  172.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  173.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  174.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  175.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  176.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  177.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  178.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  179.       the package.

  181.    o  From Windows 3.1 Program Manager, select "File" and then "run".
  182.       From Win 95, select "Start", then "run".
  183.       Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  184.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
